Adam Michael Casto, 16 years, of Monroe, MI was lovingly laid into The Arms of the Lord on February 26, 2011.
Adam was born June 19, 1994 in Toledo, OH, the son of Ronnie J. and Kathleen M. (Lichon) Casto.
Adam grew up in Monroe and was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church where he was baptized and confirmed. Adam was a graduate of St. Michael's Elementary School in Monroe and was in his junior year at Saint Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe. While at SMCC, Adam played freshman football and was on the golf team.
A loving and giving young man, Adam volunteered at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Adam loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golf. He also loved cars and animals. He will be sadly missed by his dog Toby.
Most of all Adam loved his family and friends. Adam is survived by his loving parents Ronnie and Kathy Casto, his cherished siblings; Ronnie Casto of Monroe, William (Terry) Casto of Dawes, WV, Edward J. Casto of Monroe and Tressie (Greg) Wagner of Poca, WV, his grandfather Edward Lichon of Toledo, OH, his Godfather Ron LaPrad of Erie, MI, aunts and uncles; Vickie (John) Brown, Wanda (Terry) King, Steve (Carol) Casto, Gary (Sue) Casto, Harold (Cheryl) Gillespie and several nieces and nephews.
Sadly, Adam was preceded in death by his grandmother Jean Lichon and grandparents Dorothy and Leonard Casto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd in Monroe. On Friday, March 4, 2011 he will lie is state at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe from 9:30 AM until Mass of The Resurrection celebrating his life at 10:00 AM. Fr. Stephen Vileo and Fr. Stephen Rooney will concelebrate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
