Ryan A. Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ryan A. Jones, 50 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 10, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born October 8, 1971 in Monroe, Ryan was the son of Gary A. and Judy A. (Nisley) Jones. Ryan was a 1990 graduate of Monroe High School, where he graduated with honors. Ryan excelled in sports and lettered in baseball, football and swimming. He went on to attend Albion College where he played baseball. Ryan was employed by Ford Motor Company for 28 years. He worked as a Crane Operator at the Chicago Heights Stamping Plant and most recently as a Hi-Lo driver for the Woodhaven Stamping Plant. On December 23, 2019, Ryan married his beloved wife, the former Barbara J. Leason in Monroe. Ryan was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church and the UAW. Ryan enjoyed coaching kids, traveling, weekend trips, golfing, and grilling by the pool. Most of all Ryan enjoyed time spent with family. Ryan is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, his loving daughter, Jordan Ryan Jones of Indianapolis, IN, his caring parents, Gary and Judy Jones of Monroe, his brother, Gregory A. (Jenna) Jones of Monroe, his sister, Darby A. (Scott) Hoppenstedt of Wixom, MI and his cherished nieces and nephews: Jaxson, William, Josslyn, Elin, and Jhett. Sadly, Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Arthur and Blanche Nisley and Allen and Alice Jones. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-8 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161. On Saturday, December 18, 2021 he will lie in state from 10:00 am at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church where funeral services celebrating his life will begin at 11:00 am. The Rev.’s Tim Iocoangeli and Roy Southerland, will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Monroe High School Baseball.
