Randy Evans
March 4, 1967 - April 4, 2021
Randy C. Evans, an amazing son, brother, friend, colleague, and humanitarian, passed away, in his home on April 4, 2021, at the young age of 54. Randy was born on March 4, 1967, and was a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan. Randy was a kind-hearted, creative, and intelligent philanthropist. Those who knew him were fortunate to know him. He wanted every person he knew to do equally well and succeed in their lives and dreams. Randy loved and cared for all of God’s creatures in thought and deed. He was often a sponsor of animals at the Monroe Humane Society and regularly provided an ample supply of vanilla cookies to the squirrels living in the trees around his home. Randy was a self-made man, successful in his engineering career, and in achieving his goals. He loved being in, or around water, and his happiest times were spent boating, laughing around the campfire with his Sister and friends, and watching people smile as he made tiny origami shirts out of 20-dollar bills to give as gifts and tips. Randy had a passion for fine art, and many fascinating weekends were spent attending antique auctions. He enjoyed collecting bronze sculptures, coins, and oil paintings. He was loved by many, and he loved his friends and family. Now, he is free, and in his next life, those who truly appreciate and know him, will be fortunate to be in his circle of joy. Randy is survived by his wife Limei and immediate members of the Evans family, Jack, Judy, Duke, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Randy is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Evans, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Rose, and his beloved dog and furry companion, Lonnie. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 South Telegraph Road, Monroe, Michigan 48161. Per Randy’s wishes and personal selection, his final memorial resting place is at Roselawn Memorial Park, Section C-496. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Randy’s memory are suggested to The Humane Society of Monroe County.
