Pearl E. Beason

February 2, 1923 - January 20, 2021

Pearl Ethel Beason, 97 of Monroe Michigan, passed away peacefully at Fountain View of Monroe on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, with her family by her side. She had been in poor health for the last two months. Born February 21, 1923 in Edgewood, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Emma (Carey) Cole. She married Manie Beason on September 16, 1939 in Tazewell, Tennessee. The two would move to Monroe in January of 1942. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1968. She was hard working and was able to provide for her family by working early on at Triangle Lunch, Federal’s Department Store, as a Custodian for Custer Schools, and in the cafeteria at Ford Motor Company in Monroe. She is survived by one son, Ray Beason of Monroe; one daughter, Barbara Joan (Jerry) Payment of Monroe; one brother, Denver (Gail) Cole of Crossville, Tennessee; one sister, Oma (John) Eldridge of Crossville, Tennessee; three grandsons: Jeff (Annette) Payment of Monroe, Todd Beason, and Brian Beason; three granddaughters: Roxanne (Bryan) Brettschneider of Monroe, Cindy (Aaron) LaFountain of Monroe, and Melanie Beason; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manie Beason; two sons, Jerry and Larry Beason; four brothers: Raymon, Elwood, Troy, and Freeman Cole; and two sisters, Tracy Griffith and Florene Cole. The family would like to thank Fountain View of Monroe for the loving care they showed Pearl and the family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pearl’s memory are suggested to the Mon-Arc of Monroe, Inc. 6021 Parkside Drive, Monroe, 48161. No services will be held, and she will be interred next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
