Nancy L. Zwarka Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy L. Zwarka, age 72 of Monroe, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 10:04 a.m. Born April 19, 1948, Nancy was the daughter of the late Raymond O. and Mary R. (Szabo) Hall. She was a 1966 graduate of Taylor Center High School. On February 6, 1981 she married her beloved husband, Thomas E. Zwarka, at St. Cyril in Taylor, Michigan. Nancy was a teacher’s aide at Jefferson Schools for fifteen years. She later became an elementary school teacher before retiring in 1995. She took much pride and joy in her teaching career. All the kids she taught over the years left an everlasting impression on her. Nancy was a socialite and loved gathering with others for any occasion. She was a people person and could make friends everywhere she went. Nancy had a green thumb and loved to tend to her flower garden. She also spent a lot of time going on motorcycle rides with her husband, Tom. To cherish her memory, Nancy leaves behind two sons, Ronald J. Cieslak and Christopher Cieslak; a sister, Sally S. Reid; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her sister, Diane C. Hall. Memorial contributions in Nancy’s memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Reseach Hospital. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, Monroe, Michigan 48161. Services celebrating Nancy’s life will begin immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
