Jayne S. Johnson

Jayne S. Johnson, 62 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in her home with her loving family at her side. Born June 10, 1951 in Monroe, Jayne was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mae A. (Brooks) Margraves. Jayne attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1969 graduate of Monroe High School. On June 6, 1970, Jayne married her beloved Clifford W. Johnson at North Monroe Street Church of God. Jayne was employed as a custodian for Monroe Public Schools from which she retired in July of 2008 after 33 years of employment. Jayne was a member of Church of Christ in Monroe. Jayne enjoyed reading, gardening, crafts, sewing, and decorating her home. More than anything Jayne took great pride as a homemaker and caring for her family. Jayne is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Cliff, six loving children: David W. (Teresa) Johnson of Blissfield, MI, Daniel Joseph (Sarah) Johnson of Ida, Dane G. (Heather) Johnson of Temperance, MI, Drew C. (Jessica) Johnson of Ida, MI, Deena L. (Ryan) Salenbien of Dundee MI and Desiree' N. (Shawn) Setzler of Southgate, MI, 18 cherished grandchildren: Kathryn, Clarissa, Caroline, Danny, Jr., Jeffrey, Abby, Jessica, Wade, Gabe, Cole, and Grace Johnson, Collin, Cade, and Cooper Salenbien, Destinee' Daniels, DeLane Johnson, and Delaney and Braden Setzler, two brothers: Don (Mary) Margraves of Port Charlotte, FL and Joe Margraves of Monroe, a sister: Judy Thoms of Newport and a nephew she helped raise Randall Lee Margraves, and her best friend and caregiver, Joyce (Pat) Gault. In addition to her parents Jayne was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Dara Lynn, a daughter in law: Jennifer Anne Johnson and a brother: Robert R. Margraves. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Minister James Barnes retired Minister of Dunbar Road Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Dunbar Road Church of Christ.
