Charles K. Haddix

March 12, 1955 - November 22, 2021

Charles K. Haddix, age 66, of Dundee, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor after a brief illness. Chuck was born March 12, 1955 in Toledo, he was the son of William A. and Audrey A. (Scheich) Haddix. He married Cherry Krueger April 9, 1976. He was a 1973 graduate of Dundee High School. He worked for the Center for Forensic Psychiatry until his retirement. He and his wife, Cherry, also owned and operated the River Raisin Canoe Livery. Chuck enjoyed the time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved going on walks with his grandchildren, attending all of their sporting events, taking them for ice cream and going on canoe, kayak or pontoon boat rides with them. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cherry Haddix of Dundee, four children, Charlene (James) Coryell of Adrian, Carla (Jeremy) Funchion of Tecumseh, Colleen (Tony) Lehr of Monroe and Christopher (Angela) Haddix of Brighton; twelve grandchildren or “George” as he called them all, Aeden, Declan, Brenden, Finnian, Jacob, Joshua, Jordan, Ripken, Korrina, Larkin, Kershaw and Liam; seven siblings, David (Niki) Haddix of Dundee, Sandy (Rick) Beach of North Adams, Mark Haddix of Carleton, Ed (Susan) Haddix of Sparta, Duane (Dawn) Haddix of Monroe, Kathleen (Mark) Schmitt of Jonesville and Scott (Shellie) Haddix of Carleton. He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Daniel Haddix. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, Monroe. He will lie instate at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rath Cemetery, Monroe.
