Ruby Marie Beeler Braden, 77, passed away with her loving family by her side on September 14, 2016 at Wellspring Lutheran Home in Monroe, Michigan. After years of chronic illness, Ruby left this earth comforted in knowing she was going Home to be with the Lord.
Born February 19, 1939 in Monroe to Lillard and Madge Beeler, Ruby was one of nine children. She grew up in the church, worshipping at North Monroe Street Church of God throughout her entire life. Ruby was hard-working from a young age, holding jobs at Al's Diner, Kresge and K-Mart for more than 40 years. She was a great provider, single-handedly raising her son, Timothy, who was the light of her life and proudest accomplishment. She gained a wonderful daughter when Timothy married his wife, Kelly, and from their union came the absolute joys of Ruby's life: her grandchildren, Ashley and Justin.
Ruby will be remembered as a strong, selfless, kind woman who truly loved her family. Her quick wit and humor brought smiles to everyone around her, and her warmth will forever go unmatched.
Ruby's son Timothy, daughter-in-law Kelly, grandchildren Ashley and Justin, brother Donald, brother David and sister-in-law Jean, sister-in-law Betty and many nieces, nephews and friends will deeply miss her and cherish her memory. She is now celebrating in Heaven with her parents Lillard and Madge, brothers Glen, James, Ron and Lillard Jr., sisters Peggy and Agnes, sisters-in-law Charon and Linda, nephew Jason and great-nephews Zachary and Dawson.
Family and friends may visit on September 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe. A celebration of Ruby's life will take place on September 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, led by Pastor Mike Beeler of Faith Gospel Tabernacle. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial. Donations may be made in Ruby's memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
