Lois Mary Roberts

Lois M. Roberts, 90 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born April 26, 1926 in Monroe, Lois was the daughter of the late Floyd Franklin and Mary Margaret (Ax) Smock. Lois attended Monroe Public Schools and Monroe High School. She was employed as a press operator for 19 years at Paramount Newport Company. Lois was a member of Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church where she helped with Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, worshipping at her church, and time spent with family. Lois is survived by five loving children: Donald (Evelyn) Roberts of Monroe, Gary (Ramona) Roberts of Monroe, Ruth Ann (Roy) Seiber of Caryville, TN, Sandra Perkins of Monroe, and Gloria Boedicker of Monroe, 17 cherished grandchildren, 29 treasured great grandchildren, 8 blessed great great grandchildren, with one on the way, a brother: Ronald (Pam) Smock of Petersburg, MI, and a sister Patricia Brey of Ida, MI. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by a son: David, two sons in law: Calvin Perkins, and John Boedicker, Sr., a great grandson: Christian Marsee and three sisters: Betty, Shirley, and Marj. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Kenny Goins, pastor of Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Lois M.
