Cheryl Maynard

Cheryl Anne (Oliver) Maynard, 49, died at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH on January 1, 2012. She was born July 12, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Ralph Henry and Gloria (Knisley) Oliver. She was educated in Orlando, Florida and received her Associates Degree in Dental Ceramics in 1983. She was a Dental Ceramist for over 20 years. She owned and operated her own dental lab for five years called Profile Dental Arts. Following the closing of the lab, she searched for a career where she would be able to help people. In 2002 she formed her company, Cardinal Benefits and became an Independent Insurance Agent, certified in Long Term Care Insurance. She was also a certified Medicare Outreach Partner. Cheryl married her childhood friend, Jeffrey Zarend on December 15, 2006. They were together for 13 years and shared five wonderful years of marriage. She was predeceased by a sister, Laura Lee Robbins during the summer of 2011. In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by a daughter, Audrey Maynard of Orlando, Florida; a sister Linda Sue Cramer of Milford, Massachusetts; a brother Ralph Henry Oliver, Jr. of Orlando, Florida and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cheryl loved animals and her multiple dogs, cats and tropical fish were an essential part of her life. She enjoyed exercise, gardening, reading and learning. She was a life-long student and was continually learning new things. The world is a much darker place without Cheryl’s light shining. Visiting hours will be held at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, MI on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Chaplain Rudolph of the First Unitarian Church in Toledo, OH will officiate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, MI.
