Bill Ault

William Frazier Ault, 69 years, of Temperance, MI, passed into the loving arms of his Lord on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 8:15 AM in his home, after a long battle with cancer and with his loving family at his side. Born August 25, 1942 in Monroe, MI, Bill was the son of the late William Jay and Helen (Frazier) Ault. Bill spent his entire life in the Monroe area and was a 1961 graduate of Ida high School. On May 24, 1969 Bill married his beloved wife, the former Patricia Rosenbalm in Petersburg, MI. Bill spent eight years working for Tecumseh Products before taking a job at Ford Motor Company. Bill was employed by Ford for 35 years working at the Monroe plant until his retirement on November 1, 2005. Bill was a devout Christian and was a 25 year member of Dundee Baptist Church where he served as assistant music director and as a Deacon. In 2004, Bill transferred his membership to Monroe Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the Celebration and Joy Choirs, and was a member of the JOYS. Bill was also a member of the Bedford YMCA. Bill was a very giving and loving person. He loved being able to mentor others. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 43 years, Patti, his loving daughter Heather M. (Norman) Fortner of Lambertville, MI, a brother Alva Ault of Jerome, MI, two cherished grandchildren: Autumn Rose and Lindsey Nichole Fortner, a sister in law: Pamela (Walt) Parrish and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his stepfather: James Gonser and a brother John. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe. On Thursday, April 19, 2012 he will lie in state at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until funeral services celebrating his life at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Building Fund at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
