Ronald "Ron" J. DuMoulin

Ronald J. DuMoulin, age 77, of Monroe, passed Friday evening, December 4, 2020, with his loving wife and children by his side. Born March 16, 1943, he was the son of Walter and Marie DuMoulin. Ron attended the Hall of Divine Child and graduated from Monroe High School in 1961. He married the love of his life, Barbara A. Elliott on November 10, 1962, at Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church. Family was first and foremost to Ron. Ron and Barb were blessed with three children, Christine Morelli, Jim (Elizabeth) DuMoulin, and Terry (Julie) DuMoulin. He adored his eight grandchildren: Drew, Adam, Meghan, Nathan, Clarissa, Mackenzie, Mitchell, and Brendan; and nine great grandchildren. Ron enjoyed being surrounded by his family at every holiday, especially Christmas. Many family traditions have been enjoyed over the years. A favorite included traveling to the Christmas tree farm where each family was photographed with their tree, before gathering for the “big” family photo. Summers were filled with activities such as watching the children perform their latest feats in the backyard pool. Ron also enjoyed being the pitcher at the annual family softball games. Ronald worked for Tecumseh Corrugated Box for 44 years, as a salesman and Vice-President of Sales. He retired from this company in 2007. Loving his career and working with his customers, after “retirement”, Ron began DuMoulin Sales to continue the work he was passionate about. Continually active in the community throughout his life, Ron held many memberships including the Monroe Club, Monroe Boat Club, Moose Lodge, and VFW Auxiliary. He enjoyed many hobbies including boating, fishing, golf, duck hunting, wintering in Florida, and watching all University of Michigan sporting events. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a brother Walter DuMoulin, and his two sisters, Betty Gentner and Charlotte Maloche. Ron is deeply loved and will be greatly missed; however, he had a strong faith and loved the Lord, so we will see him again. In accordance with Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, Monroe Michigan 48161. A private memorial service will be held the following day for immediate family only.
