Robert Joseph "Bob" Gagne, Sr.

Robert "Bob" Joseph Gagne Sr., 72, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in his "castle", per his wishes, in the presence of family and friends on Friday, April 15, 2016. He was born March 10, 1944 in Wyandotte, MI to Arthur and Pauline (Trudeau) Gagne Sr. He married Linda Marilyn Fedorinchik on February 19, 1966 in Dearborn, MI, they recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary, February 19, 2016. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central, and worked 41 years at the Ford Stamping Plant in Monroe as a Tool and Die Maker, retiring in 2004. He loved hosting gatherings for family and friends at his home on the shores of Lake Erie, and he will be remembered for enjoying the many good times over the years with them boating on the lake. He was passionate about improving the Beach Area Communities of Frenchtown Township, serving on the Frenchtown Resort Authority Board for 29 years, since its inception in 1986. He also served as Past President of the Woodland Beach Association for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; beloved children, Robert "Bob" (Jodi) Gagne Jr., Michelle (Dan) Achauer, Brian (Jenny) Gagne, Nadine (Barney Brzezan) Garcia; he was the proud grandfather of Zane and Justine Gagne, Jacob and Robby Kuehnlein, Nico and Marina Garcia, and Caroline and Joshua Gagne; brothers and sisters, Arthur "Tony" (Judy) Gagne, Janice Trudeau, Richard "Rick" (Linda) Gagne. John (Marilyn) Gagne, Mary Denise "DeeDee" (Ron) Vore, and Mary Delores Gagne; and sister-in-laws, Judy Malvitz, Joyce Marbrey, Janet (Bill) Smothers, and Sandra Reich; as well as many loving nephews, nieces, and friends. Sadly, his parents, in laws, Fuzzy and Dorothy Fedorinchik, brother-in-laws, Carl Malvitz, Danny Reich, and Dick Marbrey, and nephew and godson, Ronald Vore Jr. all preceded him in death. Friends are invited to call at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, on Sunday, April 17, from 1-7 PM. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1 PM. Deacon George Cousino will officiate. Following the service, procession will take place to Roselawn Memorial Park for committal services and cremation.
