Beatrice "Bea" Loop

Beatrice "Bea" Loop, 86, of Ida, passed away at Sister's Servants of Immaculate Heart on March 15, 2016, under the care of Promedica Hospice of Monroe. Although she had been declining in health in recent months, she had been in great spirits until her passing. Beatrice was born October 18, 1929 in LaSalle, MI to Herbert Churchill and Effie (Squires) Churchill. She attended Lincoln High School, where she was a swimmer, graduating in 1948. After graduation she married Clifford Loop on July 3, 1948. Beatrice dedicated her life to providing for her children. She held many labor position including her employment of 18 years as a Sewer at La-Z-Boy Chair Company. She also provided for her family by gardening. She would can and freeze all the family fruits and vegetables. Upon retirement she spent her days caring for two of her young grandchildren, and traveling. Beatrice enjoyed collecting green glass and bees, watching game shows, playing cards and bingo. Above all else, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Beatrice enjoyed many family reunions, celebrations, and gatherings. Everyone loved it when she brought her dumplings and green beans with potatoes to a family event. One of her favorite places to spend time with her family was at Doug and Evonne's summer cabin. Later in life she looked forward to visitors and regular phone calls to keep her connected with family. To cherish her memory , Beatrice leaves her children, Donna (Russell) Clark, David (Geneva) Loop, Daniel (Cheryl) Loop, Doug (Evonne) Loop, and Jerry Loop; her grandchildren, Arwada, David, Balinda, Billy Joe, Thurman, Brian, Timothy, Brandy, Valerie, Christopher, and Lauren, 14 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; and her brother, Edward (Deb) Churchill. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Loop, granddaughter, Ashley Harmon, and siblings, Betty Haygood, Vaughn and Junior Churchill. Friends are invited to call on at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, on Saturday, March 19, from 1 PM until a memorial service at 3 PM. Rev. Bill Fink, Chaplain with Promedica Hospice will officiate.
