Carol S. Epps, 66 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:19 am in the home of her daughter Teri in Monroe. Carol had been in declining health for the past 3 years.

Born February 14, 1944 in Toledo, OH, Carol was the daughter of the late Earl and Vivian (LaReau) Bugbee. Carol grew up in Clinton, MI and was a 1962 graduate of Clinton High School. Carol spent most of her adult life in Monroe. In April of 1988 Carol married her beloved husband Irving Epps Jr. in Toledo, OH.

Carol worked as an accountant for Hill’s Department Store from the time the store opened until its closing.

Carol enjoyed all types of crafts especially sewing and knitting. At one time Carol owned and operated her own yarn shop in Clinton Township.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband Irving, 7 children; Lloyd Flynn (Vickie) Epps of Monroe, Teri Brown of Monroe, Rickie Lynn Sprozick of TX, Marie (John) Abalos of TN, Michelle Sprozick of Monroe, Gari (Tom) Thompson of Dundee and Destiny R. Epps of Romulus; 1 brother; Dan, 6 sisters; Vicky, Diane, Judy, Vickie, Sharon and Debbie, many cherished grandchildren and 2 treasured great grandchildren.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes cremation will be held and memorial services will be private. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, assisted Carol’s family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to Carol’s daughter Teri Brown.
