Charles W. Dye, 51 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 11, 2010. Chuck passed away at 9:03 AM in Mercy Memorial Hospital. He had been in declining health for the past 2 ½ years.

   Chuck was born February 1, 1959 in Monroe, MI the son of Charles E. and Juanita (England) Dye. Chuck attended Monroe Public School and was a 1977 graduate of Monroe High School.

   On September 20, 2003 Chuck married his beloved wife the former Sheryl J. Gillenkirk in Monroe.

   Chuck worked at Jim’s Towing in Monroe for over 20 years and was a member of Monroe Gospel Church.

   Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling to Northern Michigan, snowmobiling, camping and boating. He also enjoyed flea markets.

   Chuck will mostly be remembered as a kind, caring, wonderful man who was always the life of the party and lived for his family. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife Sheryl, his caring mother Juanita of Monroe, 2 loving step children; Walter N. Love Jr. of Dayton, OH and Crystal L. Love of Toledo, OH and 2 cherished grandchildren Isaic M. Reyes-Love and Mariana T. Love. Sadly he was preceded in death by his father in 1993.

   Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM and Thursday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe. On Friday, October 15, 2010 he will lie in state at Bible Fellowship Church, 14395 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161 from 12 noon until funeral services celebrating his life at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Jack L. Branham pastor of Monroe Gospel Church and Chuck’s cousin Rev. Randy Pierce will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.

   Memorial donations are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.
